A key issue occupying erosh members in recent months, has been how to fairly and consistently manage the safe keeping of pets in independent living and sheltered & retirement housing schemes. The therapeutic benefits of pets and their role in providing emotional support are well known but providers need a fair and consistent approach which supports pet owners but does not negatively impact on non-pet owning residents.

Our new Good Practice Guide with lots of practical information, advice and good practice examples, explores the health and well-being benefits of pets and the legal framework; as well as how to design and implement a fair and consistent pet policy.
