Erosh Midlands Network & Almshouse Association Joint Meeting
11th March @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Get together for wardens/scheme managers: Wednesday 11th March 2020 at Old Brookside, B33 8QL: 9.30 for 10.00 start – 12.30 followed by a sandwich lunch.
Many of us employ staff specifically to support residents, most of whom are called scheme managers or wardens. This extremely important job often involves working alone or with minimal supervision and we have often heard it suggested that wardens/scheme managers from different organisations should get together now and again to discuss their concerns and support each other. We should therefore like to offer an opportunity for this to commence at Yardley Great Trust’s residents’ lounge at Old Brookside on the morning of Wednesday 11th March for a get together for wardens/scheme managers & their managers from around the West Midlands. If your organisation employs anyone in this role, please let them know about this event.
One of the concerns often expressed by scheme managers at Yardley Great Trust is hospital discharge and our housing manager Lynn Bailey has invited a representative from the hospital discharge team at Heartlands Hospital to attend the meeting to discuss concerns and perhaps agree actions to improve the service for residents . Hopefully that will be a topic that everyone can get involved in, but other topics can be added on request.
To register for this event, go to https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/GetTogether2020 and fill in the online form. As a little incentive to attend, a sandwich lunch will be provided and of course we shall need to know numbers so that we order the right amount of food. The deadline for letting us know is Wednesday 4th March.
Any queries please let me know.
