National Network Virtual Event: Forget-Me-Nots – Dementia Enquirers Report
30th March 2013 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
FreeErosh is hosting a National Network Event to present and share the Forget-Me-Nots – Dementia Enquirers Report
What impact has Covid-19 had on my connections with others, including the Forget-Me-Nots?
The Forget-Me-Nots (FMNs) is a service user group of older adults with dementia in Canterbury and surrounding areas. The group was founded in 2012 and its aim is to help people living with dementia and to liaise with health care to reduce the stigma associated with dementia.
In the midst of the pandemic, the FMNs conducted a small research Enquiry, funded by the Dementia Enquirers programme, into the impact of Covid upon people living with dementia. The pandemic disrupted many lives and created isolation and loneliness for many people. This Enquiry, led by people living with dementia for people living with dementia, hoped to reduce the feelings of loneliness and empower people living with dementia. It also hoped to inspire future research and direct future care.
Erosh is delighted to host this national network event which focuses on a such an important and rewarding research project uniquely led by people living with dementia. We will share and discuss with you the findings of this enquiry and the people involved in it, as well as the recommendations and the impact of technology on connections.
You will have the opportunity to hear from those with lived experience of dementia and the supporting staff and volunteers from Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership trust (KMPT) involved in the Enquiry.
The event will be chaired by Rebecca Mollart, erosh CEO and our inspirational speakers include:
