NHF – Future funding of supported and sheltered housing

Come and discuss the Government’s proposals for the future funding of supported and sheltered housing and give your views on the Government’s consultation. The September announcement on funding set out a new system from 2019 with tenants able to claim up to the Local Housing Allowance (LHA) level of benefit. Money will be devolved to local authorities to cover costs above the LHA level.
The Government will consult on the details of this new system including key questions on local commissioning, integration and the ring fence around the money. We expect a consultation paper by the end of November.
These events provide an opportunity to:
- discuss the consultation questions
- give your views on how the local system should work
- consider the impact of the new model on your business and tenants.
This event is open to local authority commissioning staff as well as National Housing Federation members. It is aimed at senior staff and decision makers within organisations.
