Fire safety and fire plans

What processes do they have if there’s a fire inside a flat and the person evacuates to the stairwell, but can’t use the stairs due to mobility issues.

Do you have an emergency call system that they activate so you are aware of where they are located?

If you do, what system is it?

Is it the same system as the telecare system installed inside the flats?

Separate emergency green box voice system that rings a telephone at reception or does it divert to telecare?

Hi Asmut, we have a stay put policy in most of our services now. Where that has not been the case there are designated waiting spaces which the fire brigade would be aware of. In all services any customer on a PEEPs would also be listed as needing support to evacuate on a customer list in the Fire Box/Gerda box. Where we have call systems in communal areas they are on the same system as the ones in the flats. The systems go through to telecare as the services are not always staffed.
If a customers had mobility issues at move in then they would have been allocated a ground floor flat from the start of their tenancy.
