Supporting residents to live independently starts with understanding their needs, recognising potential risks and responding appropriately when circumstances change. As the role of front-line staff continues to evolve, having the confidence to assess needs and facilitate the right support has never been more important.
Our upcoming Assessing Needs and Risks for Independent Living Services training has been designed specifically for professionals working in independent living settings and will provide practical guidance, good practice and the opportunity to discuss real-life scenarios with peers.
During this online session, we’ll cover:
- Assessing needs and risks for residents moving into independent living services
- Understanding risks and helping residents manage them
- Building confidence in asking the right questions about needs and potential risks
- Recognising and responding to changing circumstances
- Good practice from lessons learned during the pandemic when planning support for older people
- Supporting people living with dementia
- Supporting veterans in independent living
This training also supports the following erosh Independent Living Standards:
- C16 – Service tailored and responsive to meet individual needs and preferences
- C20 – Keeping customers and staff safe
Training is delivered in a relaxed, informal and interactive environment, with plenty of opportunity for discussion and questions.
