Congratulations to Cardiff Council Community Living and Housing with Care Services on successfully achieving reaccreditation of the erosh Independent Living Standards.
Three years on from first achieving accreditation, this recognition demonstrates a service that has continued to evolve rather than stand still. Reaccreditation reflects an ongoing commitment to improving services, responding to changing needs and delivering the very best support for older people.
Since 2023, Cardiff has expanded its provision with two new Community Living schemes and its first Housing with Care scheme. The assessment also recognised the introduction of the Specialist Accommodation Gateway, helping to ensure older people are matched to the right accommodation through a proactive and coordinated approach.
Alongside these developments, the assessment highlighted the strong sense of community being created across Cardiff’s schemes, with activities and events that support residents to remain active, connected and independent.
Reflecting on the achievement, Cardiff Council said:
“We are proud to have achieved this accreditation, which recognises the high-quality support we provide to older people living in our accommodation schemes. It is a reflection of the difference our staff make every day in helping residents live independently and enjoy a good quality of life.”
It is fantastic to see the Independent Living Standards supporting organisations that are committed to continuous improvement and delivering positive outcomes for older people.
