We're looking to expand our network of Independent Living Standards (ILS) Assessors and are inviting experienced professionals to join us as Consultant ILS Assessors.
As an ILS Assessor, you'll play an important role in helping organisations demonstrate and improve the quality of their independent living services for older people. Assessors review policies and procedures, visit schemes, meet with staff and residents, and produce balanced reports that recognise good practice while identifying opportunities for improvement.
We're particularly keen to hear from people who have:
Experience in inspection, assessment or quality assurance
Knowledge of the independent living, sheltered housing or wider housing sector
Excellent communication and interviewing skills
The ability to make balanced, evidence-based judgements
Strong report writing and time management skills
This is a consultancy opportunity, giving you the flexibility to take on assessments that fit around your existing commitments while making a real difference to the quality of accommodation and services available to older people across the UK.
To apply, please send your CV and a covering letter outlining your relevant experience and why you would like to become an Independent Living Standards Assessor.
Applications close on Monday 20 July 2026.
