Erosh is a national consortium for older people’s housing and support with its own quality standards framework

Latest news

Ensuring the quality of your older people’s accommodation and services meets national standards.

International Day of Charity is a chance to recognise the contribution charities make every day – and, as a charity, it’s also an opportunity for erosh to reflect on why our work matters and the difference that support from across the sector can make.

For more than 30 years, erosh has worked to improve the quality of housing and support available to older people.

We bring together people working across older people’s housing, support, health, and care, creating opportunities to share experiences, learn from one another, and find practical ways to respond to the challenges facing the sector.

Through our regional networks, events, training, resources, and good practice guidance, we help professionals develop their knowledge, make new connections, and hear how others are approaching similar issues.

And that exchange of knowledge is increasingly important.

Those working in older people’s housing are navigating pressures around funding and resources alongside safeguarding, loneliness and isolation, accessibility, health and wellbeing, and increasingly complex needs.

No single organisation has all the answers. By bringing people together and sharing what works, we can help strengthen services and ultimately improve outcomes for older people.

But, like charities across the country, erosh cannot do that work alone.

Our members' involvement and the wider sector's support make our network work. Every organisation that gets involved, attends an event, shares its expertise or contributes good practice adds something valuable to the wider erosh community.

That support enables us to continue providing a space where people can connect, learn and have important conversations about the future of housing and support for older people.

International Day of Charity celebrates what charities contribute, but it is also a reminder of why supporting them matters.

For erosh, a strong, engaged network means we can keep sharing knowledge, championing good practice, and working towards better housing and support for older people.

The more we share, the stronger the sector becomes.
