These are challenging times for us all but especially older people who are at greater risk as well as perhaps already lonely and isolated. Many older people rely on visits from relatives and social interaction with other residents and visitors, and may feel particularly anxious, isolated and even frightened. Staff too are facing challenges of working from home and not being able to support residents as they normally do.
To help you through this difficult period, we have just issued a new briefing on Supporting Residents as well as one on Supporting Home Workers.
Please also share here with fellow members how you are supporting your residents and staff. It is a good opportunity to share good practice and creative solutions and to support each other through this unprecedented situation. What are you doing to help get through it?
