An exciting opportunity has arisen at Cadarn Housing Group. Would you like to join an award winning and innovative housing association and our tenant focused Housing Team. We are looking for a proactive and customer focused individual, to provide practical support to our tenants and to enable our tenants to live safely in their communities. This is a front line customer facing role delivering services across Cadarn’s tenant base. The Safer Communities Officer will work using the principles of “Restorative Approaches” to enable our tenants to feel empowered and confident in dealing with anti-social behaviour. You will provide expert advice and focus on initiatives to prevent and deter negative behaviour to our tenants. You will play a lead role in fostering a partnership approach with agencies including the Police and Environmental Health to tackle root causes of anti-social behaviour within Cadarn’s estates and communities.
The Safer Communities Officer position is a busy, varied and challenging role. You must be able to demonstrate good technical knowledge of dealing with, managing and preventing Anti-Social behaviour coupled with effective planning and organisational skills, the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines and to work on your initiative. You will be an effective communicator and team player with good IT skills.

Knowledge of or interest in the social housing sector and/or older people’s housing and support would be a bonus. All roles are voluntary with a commitment of about 1 day a month including quarterly board meetings.
