A number of our schemes have 1 up 1 down flats, some tenants in the first floor flats have stairlifts installed if they develop mobility issues during the course of their tenancy. Once the tenancy ends the stairlift is removed as the time frame to get an OT assessment for its suitability for incoming tenants can be up to 6 months which is obviously too long a time to wait.
It’s such a shame to remove a perfectly good stairlift for the sake on OT assessment however the waiting time is not practical. Can you advise what systems you have in place to deal with this issue, any advice gratefully received!
