Steve Rafferty Chief Executive

Steve has worked in the housing sector since the 1980’s and has been involved with accreditations for housing and support services in the UK for over 20 years. He is also experienced in a wide range of consultancy areas, including resident involvement, older persons services, measuring customer satisfaction and benchmarking.

Having spent many years working for Local Authorities and Housing Associations, Steve moved into training/education within housing, including apprenticeships, as well as consultancy. More recently, Steve managed a small Housing Association in the Bristol area, with the association providing accommodation for residents over 55 years of age.

Rena Karadogan Administrator

Rena is our membership and finance administrator, working for us in a part time capacity and will be your first point of contact when you call or email erosh. Rena will also be supporting our local erosh networks.

Rena has worked in the housing sector for over 30 years specialising in older people’s housing and support.  Rena has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing for many years, and has worked for both local authorities and housing associations in South Wales and the South East of England. Rena led Trivallis through the Code of Practice and serviced the erosh Cymru network for several years.

Rebecca Mollart Director of Policy and Practice

Rebecca has worked in the sector for over 30 years. In addition to being Director of Policy and Practice at erosh, she is a consultant specialising in skills, management, and organisational development; teaching and assessment, mainly for the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH); and supported housing.

Rebecca is a qualified teacher with a postgraduate diploma in housing, a CIH Fellow, Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and a member of the Welsh Housing Quarterly Editorial; and has previously been a board member at Rooftop Housing.

Jo Riley Director of Marketing & Business Development

Jo is our Director of Marketing & Business Development, working for us in a part-time capacity.

Jo has gained a wealth of experience in sales and business development working in a variety of different industries. Most recently Jo has been working in a membership development role for 2 learning & development organisations.

Kevin Smith Director of Independent Living Standards

Kevin is originally from East Anglia and has spent much of his working life in London. In a career that reaches back over 35 years, he was originally employed by charities and housing associations. He has completed a post-graduate diploma in Change Management and was part of a leadership programme for residential management.

For the last 15 years he has successfully worked on a freelance basis as a consultant across different quality standards in the voluntary and education sectors. In 2014 he went as a trainer to Korea to support the setting up of a quality assurance system for their developing third sector. Kevin has been an Independent Living Standards assessor for the last ten years, covering the south of England and now joins us in a part-time capacity as Director of Independent Living Standards.

Tracy James Membership & Training

Tracy works on a part‑time basis, supporting both Membership and Training. She brings 30 years of experience from her career at Newydd Housing, where she progressed from Lettings Co‑ordinator to Housing Officer and ultimately Involvement Officer.

In her most recent role, Tracy focused on ensuring that tenants were central to decision‑making and service improvement, championing inclusive and accessible practices that aligned with Welsh Government regulatory requirements. She also led Newydd’s successful achievement of the Tai Pawb QED (Quality in Equality and Diversity) award and RNIB Cymru’s Visibly Better accreditation for their independent living schemes.
