The internet and digital technologies are embedded in our public, economic and social life. The Covid-19 pandemic has driven housing providers to increase digital engagement with customers but this has widened the gap between those who can engage and those who can’t, resulting in the increased isolation of many older people.
It is essential that digital engagement strategies do not exclude older people who cannot or do not want to engage in this way and explicitly include how organisations will support older people to engage.
