Working closely with colleagues in our Housing Team, the Financial Inclusion Officer will provide support and assistance to our tenants with budgeting, income maximization and welfare benefits. Crucially you will provide much needed support with universal credit applications and housing benefit claims as well as raising awareness of current and future welfare reform changes. You will be working in the community, providing home visits to our residents, attending community events, and representing Newydd at external meetings and forums.

Multi skilled operative Newydd

are looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to carry out maintenance and improvements to our properties and to deliver a high-quality repairs service whilst maintaining our homes to the highest standard. Previous experience in a repairs or maintenance role is essential and you will also need a broad knowledge and practical experience of all aspects of building maintenance and repairs including general plumbing, carpentry, tiling and patch plastering.

About the role
You will be joining a customer services team which aims to resolve queries from our customers at the first point of contact be it by telephone, email, Facebook, and Twitter. This is a varied and challenging role, and you must be able to multitask and prioritise work as well as have the confidence to work on your own initiative to problem solve and make decisions. You will also provide administrative support to our Housing and Maintenance teams.

We are also looking for a trustee to fulfil the role of Vice Treasurer with finance or accountancy experience. Knowledge of or interest in the social housing sector and/or older people’s housing and support would be a bonus. All roles are voluntary with a commitment of about 1 day a month including quarterly board meetings. Erosh is a small charity with part-time staff so you will have opportunities to get involved in all aspects of our work.
