We were very disappointed with the way sheltered housing was confused with residential care, as well as with the false impression that the (tragic) cases discussed were typical. We were also irritated by the use of crude statistics (which incorporated other types of supported housing as well as sheltered housing). To the contrary sheltered housing providers protect residents from abuse and neglect. Read our full response here.
