New network proves hit for members in South Wales

Following the successful launch in July, erosh’s South Wales network is attracting a high profile speaker for its next meeting

The Older People’s Commissioner for Wales, Sarah Rochira, will be speaking at the network meeting on Tuesday, October 9, at RCT Homes in Pontypridd.

Sarah, appointed as Older People’s Commissioner in April this year, has pledged to act on issues affecting older people in Wales so it will be a useful connection for her to make with housing providers through erosh.

Also speaking at the event will be Lorraine Regan, senior consultant at the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) to discuss the new CIH Service Quality Tool.

The network was launched in July and the first meeting attracted representatives from organisations including RCT Homes, Coastal Housing, Swansea City Council, Merthyr Valleys Homes, Carmarthen Council and Merlin Homes.

Our local networks give members the opportunity to be more actively involved at a local level, and come together regularly to share good practice, working together to resolve issues and to hear guest speakers from the sector.

These events are free to erosh members but if your organisation is interested in joining erosh then you are welcome to come along to one or two ‘taster’ sessions.
