10 London boroughs, 11 British counties, over 180 free events, hundreds of cakes, thousands of cups of tea, sing-a-longs, dance-a-thons, and a lot of hard working volunteers – Silver Sunday On October 6th, was without a doubt, a huge success. Silver Sunday is an annual day of fun and free activities for older people across the UK, celebrating the value and knowledge they contribute to our communities. Everyone can get involved, whether that’s organising an event, spreading the word, or simply attending an activity. Next year’s Silver Sunday on 5 October 2014 is set to be even bigger and better.
