The Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on Older People with Dementia

This week is Dementia Action Week which gives us all the opportunity to reflect on the experiences and perspectives of people living with dementia who have been particularly and disproportionately affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

So what is erosh doing?

We are currently working on a briefing focusing specifically on the impact of the pandemic on people living with dementia in sheltered and retirement housing and the key lessons learned. We will launch this later in the year at a Zoom event which will include speakers from one of the UK’s university based dementia centres and from the Canterbury Forget-Me-Nots Enquiry which, led by people living with dementia, looked into the impact of Covid-19 on the social connections of people living with dementia.

If you would like us to notify you when we have set a date, please contact Rena Karadogan at info@erosh.co.uk

We have also launched a survey to find out what sheltered and retirement providers have done to support people living with dementia during the pandemic and what you think are the key lessons to be learned. Click here to access the survey.
