There is not a lot to say from our perspective about the Queen’s Speech. As expected the focus is largely on Brexit and prevention of terrorism. The reference to improving social care, and bringing forward the consultation, does provide us all with opportunities to influence things; and tackling unfair practices in the energy market could help older people reduce their energy bills. A new digital charter will provide greater protection for us all, including older people, when we use the internet.
