Building Safety (Wales) Bill receives
This new Bill passed its fourth stage in the Senedd on 10 March 26 and establishes a robust regulatory system with clear lines of accountability, statuory duties and a new building safety regime for multi-occupied residental buildings - buildings of any size with two or more residential units, categorised into three types impacting level of regulation.
Homeless and Social Housing Allocation (Wales) Act
This Act, which became law on 1 April 26, focuses on homelessness prevention and support for individuals to move into longer term accommodation. Changes will be phased in, starting with changes to prevention followed by other duties and abolition.
