Erosh’s South Wales network is proving a success after its second meeting brought lively discussion for members.
The event, held at RCT Homes in Pontypridd, saw 14 members, as well as Rebecca Mollart, erosh’s Director of Policy, discuss challenges facing the sector and share solutions and good practice.
Rebecca gave an update on erosh’s activity, followed by Vicky Hiscock, policy and communications manager for the Older People’s Commissioner for Wales, who gave an interesting overview of the work of the Commissioner and the work programme planned for the next 18 months.
Other hot topics discussed included the Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA), toolkit for reviewing sheltered housing schemes which is currently being piloted, and an update on the Supporting People Regional Collaborative Committees.
The terms of reference for the group were also agreed confirming Angela Stacey, head of care and support at RCT Homes, as chair of the group.
The group has agreed to meet quarterly on a Tuesday afternoon, with meetings being held by different organisations to showcase their organisation’s services.
The next meeting will be held on January 15, 2013 at Monmouthshire Housing’s head office in Mamhilad. See you there!
If you would like to attend please email Angela Stacey.
