The Midlands Regional Network is one of erosh’s longest-standing and most successful networks, meeting three or four times a year.
Chaired by erosh’s national policy director, Rebecca Mollart, the network is regularly attended by a variety of erosh members.
Members take turns in hosting the event which means the location changes each time giving members in different parts of the region the opportunity to attend. The event includes a mixture of guest speakers, updates on national policy and erosh developments, and a ‘hot topics’ sessions where members discuss issues relevant to them and share good practice.
Our members find these sessions valuable as they come together with other providers and professionals to share issues they are experiencing and learn from each other.
Erosh member Chris Jones, from Waterloo Housing Association, said: “We greatly value our membership of erosh greatly as it gives us easy access via the website to good practice and policy updates, as well as networking opportunities with other providers. The network meetings are always worth attending for meeting with other providers in our region to discuss good practice and innovative working during these challenging times in addition to the quality speakers and contributors.”
Another member, Glynis Cook of Coventry’s largest social landlord Whitefriars Housing, said: “Being a member of erosh and attending the regional meetings enables us to network with other providers and organisations. With all the changes that are happening at the moment it is good to chat with others to see what they are doing.”
Catherine Stubbings of Celandine Strategic Housing, said: “As a consultant specialising in older people’s housing issues it is essential that I stay up to date with changes. Erosh is one of my key sources of information. When relocating to the West Midlands I was keen to take advantage of the erosh regional group to build my local network and stay in touch with operational practice.”
The next event, kindly hosted by Whitefriars Housing in Coventry, is on March 19. Email Rebecca Mollart, if you would like to come along or register your interest for future meetings. Events are free to members; people interested in becoming a member of erosh are invited to attend one meeting before joining.
