Members came together earlier this year to celebrate our annual Innovation & Good Practice Awards, and we are developing some of the entries into case studies to showcase the excellent examples we received.
New case studies include Alliance Homes’ Life and Soul project and Clanmill Housing Association’s Recall, Record, Relive Project, which are both available on our Policy & Practice Portal.
Alliance Homes and its Life and Soul project helped equip older people with the skills to organise activities focusing on physical and mental wellbeing and healthy living for older people in the community to prevent social isolation.
Clanmil Housing Association won the award for its Record, Recall, Relive Project. Two schemes for older people with dementia teamed up with a multi-media arts centre and contemporary artists to engage with the older people through art. The project used reminiscence therapy, including digital and mobile technology and the arts, to help people who had problems communicating to express themselves, and a video blog helped to raise public awareness of the programme and to stimulate interaction.
You can see the case studies at our Policy & Practice Portal.
