Briefing on Universal Credit
A new erosh briefing explains the impact of Universal Credit on older people’s accommodation and support services.
The briefing looks into the type of accommodation and support services which are currently exempt from Universal Credit, i.e. they continue to be eligible for subsidy through housing benefit (HB).
The Government has suggested that this is an interim measure so we will keep erosh members up to date if and when the position changes.
We are also keen to collect case studies and/or members’ views. These provide evidence to support our lobbying activities, help generate media interest and enable us to develop further advice and guidance for fellow erosh members. Please let us know how these issues are impacting on your organisation.
