Lobbying is a crucial strand of our activity and together we can ensure the issues which affect our organisations and our customers remain on the political agenda.
We are currently developing a lobbying strategy and would welcome suggestions and comments from members.
It’s vital we set clear objectives in this area and ensure our lobbying activities are focussed to achieve measurable results.
To date suggestions include: campaigning for all those who work with older people to be appropriately qualified; pushing for initiatives which promote older peoples’ empowerment, independence and choice and; encouraging schemes to proactively engage older people in their wider community.
Do you agree with these priorities? Do you have any other ideas? Please email your thoughts to erosh’s chief executive Rebecca Mollart.
