Earlier this year we were approached by Mercers to provide a series of half day training courses for staff while attending monthly team meetings. It was a great opportunity and came at a perfect time as we were already developing our training offer for members.
One of our aims for 2025 was to research trainers who could provide training tailored to independent living, that could be delivered as part of our open programme or offered on an in-house basis. This project is almost complete and working with Mercers has allowed us to provide trainers for a wide range of subjects throughout the year, starting with Professional Boundaries in May and continuing with a monthly course across a diverse range of subjects.
Mercer’s next course will be LGBTQ+ and we will be offering this as part of our 2026 open course programme.
Teresa Fitzsimmons, Human Resources Director at Mercers said, “Erosh has been an outstanding partner in designing, developing, and delivering a training programme for our Housing Team – both in person and online. The programme consists of monthly sessions delivered over seven months. They have worked closely with us to customise the content and delivery and have consistently received excellent feedback from our team. What has been clear is that Steve and his team not only understood what we needed but also cared enough to get it right. Each session has been informative, engaging, and encouraging, helping us to continuously improve.”
Sarah Oliver, Head of Housing Operations at Mercers added, “we also appreciate the on-going contact and support that we get from being involved with erosh.”
We have scheduled a range of courses for Autumn/Winter 2025 and we are already planning the schedule for 2026. You can view details and book onto our current programme of open courses in the events section of our website here: https://erosh.co.uk/events/
