For many years there were qualifications for staff working in the housing for older persons sector, recognising the valuable work being carried out. The roles have changed in recent years, but there still remains a need for a qualification at level 3 and level 4 that focusses on this sector, particularly with the introduction of the competency and conduct standard being introduced in 2026.
Erosh is working with Kingdom Academy to develop CIH Level 3 and Level 4 Certificates in Housing that will be aimed specifically for staff working in the housing for older persons sector. The qualifications will include mandatory units, pathway units and specific units that cover areas relating to Independent Living. The qualifications will be delivered through a series of workshops (using MS Teams) and assignments, as well as learning resources and tutor support.
The first course will be a level 3 Certificate in Housing, starting in October 2025, with discounted rates for erosh members and will be followed by a Level 4 Certificate early in 2026.
You don’t need to be an erosh member to undertake these qualifications. If you would like to find out more, come along to an information event on Thursday 21st August at 10am on MS Teams. Reserve your place via our online booking form here.
